UNI-ES cable has a well-bonded jacket and foil that strips in an easy, single strip action.
Although the foil doesnt bind to the wire, there is enough pressure between the foil and drain wire for the foil to be well grounded.
Components of UNI-ES multipairs are counter twisted and lubricated in a special way that makes the cable highly resistant to twists to give it a long service life.
The drain wire is tightly twisted to make it easier to work with and solder. It also significantly improves IDC connectivity; - the tight twist gives the wire more body so it doesnt collapse like a normal, loosely twisted wire.
