Neutrik XLR Connector |
Neutrik XLR connectors are mostly used for transmittals of line- and microphone-levels (0.775 volts) in combination with usually balanced cables. They are also used for loudspeaker-lines and lines of lighting.
Some examples for uses are:
- Sound and video mixers
- Microphones
- Studio equipment like amplifiers, professional CD players, mixing consoles, etc.
- Active loudspeakers
- Lighting applications
- Industrial applications (Control circuits, etc.)

Neutrik Jack Plug |
Neutrik Jack Plugs are usually used for transmittals of line-levels (like XLR, 0.775 volts). Their major applications are the connections of instruments like guitars, keyboards, and headphones.
Neutrik Jack Plugs are also used for Microphone-signals if you handle them with a patch-panel.
There are two main groups of Neutrik Jacks & Plugs:
- 2-pole Neutrik Jack connector (Tip & Sleeve)
- 3-pole Neutrik Jack connector (Tip, Ring & Sleeve)
In the non-professional Hi Fi-area it's common to use the Neutrik 3-pole-connector for stereo signals (headphones) and the Neutrik 2-pole-connector for mono-signals.
In the professional broadcast and audio industry the Neutrik 2-pole-connector is used in combination with unbalanced cables for short and interference-insensitive transmittals (guitar-cable).
For more sensitive applications like digital transmissions or longer lines it is the custom to use 3-pole-connectors together with balanced cables (to avoid EMI - electromagnetic interference), but it's still a mono-signal (balanced-mono-signal.)

Neutrik Speakon Connector |
Neutrik Speakon connectors are used to transmit high currents, which occur at amplifier - loudspeakers lines, etc. These Neutrik connectors are designed for highest mechanical and electrical loads and fulfil all safety standards. Due to its mating mechanism arcing is prevented and human touch cannot happen. It is UL-recognized and CSA-listed.
|
Neutrik Phono or RCA Connector |
Neutrik Phono or RCA's are used for Hi Fi-applications like stereos, TV-sets, video recorders, CD players etc.

Neutrik Powercon Connector |
The Neutrik Powercon is a lockable equipment AC connector. It's used in the audio business for the power lines of lighting applications, amplifiers, etc. It can be used as power supply for industrial applications with the advantage of it's locking system in comparison to standard non locking mains* connector. The connectors fulfil all current safety standards such as SEV, UL, CSA and VDE and uses a colour power inlet-outlet coding to prevent a short circuit. To transmit 20A @ 250V it has a thicker silver plating (20µ) and an enlarged isolation between the Faston contacts.
* Not to be used in the wall of a building structure as a mains power connector.

Neutrik BNC Connector |
Neutrik BNC connectors are connectors for coaxial cables and are used for video, audio and broadcast applications.
|
Neutrik Combo & Adaptors |
Neutrik combo connectors combines a XLR-receptacle and a ¼" Phone Jack into one connector. The result is a cost effective, space saving connector. Often used for sound and video mixers to solve their space problems, sometimes also used for active loudspeaker systems.

Neutrik Patch Panels |
Neutrik Patch Panels are central switching gears between audio equipment. Patch panels are used to switch and route analogue and digital audio signals from and to equipment in recording studios, broadcast studios or trucks, churches, stadiums, etc. Neutrik Patch Panels are central switching gears between audio equipment.
