 The RV3813 is a breakthrough in drive unit design. It uses the chassis as a heat sink to cool the voice coil by mounting the chassis in front of the cone thus also giving the unit a very distinctive appearance. The extra cooling reduces power compression allowing over 2dB more maximum output compared to a conventional unit and also gives greater reliability. It has a symmetrical field magnet and performance equivalent to a unit with a 100 mm voice coil.
It is ideally suited for use in two way systems with a horn and compression driver.
