 The RV3823 is a breakthrough in drive unit design. It uses the chassis as a heat sink to cool the voice coil by mounting the chassis in front of the cone thus also giving the unit a very distinctive appearance. The extra cooling reduces power compression allowing over 2dB more maximum output compared to a conventional unit and gives greater reliability.
The RV3823 has a symmetrical field magnet, double rear suspensions, rubber surround and a 4-layer voice coil. It is optimised for use in high power sub bass systems where sound quality and maximum dynamic range are essential.
